CS TopTec Outdoor Enclosures

Available as standard, yet individual. With the Rittal CS Toptec enclosure, we have taken the platform concept of the TS 8 frame structure a step further. Whether used as an indoor rack, or as a frame structure for technical containers or outdoor enclosures, the CS Toptec offers ideal framework conditions for the ultimate in planning confidence, whatever the location. The same applies to climate control, thanks to a standard cutout defined according to the parameters of the installation site. The CS Toptec can accommodate either an air/air heat exchanger or a climate control unit – the choice is yours. You can also choose between eight pre-configured variants available as standard, an individual enclosure project, and a range of options: side doors, all-round doors or baying variants. All this is geared towards your flexibility, whilst utilising the full range of options available.

Enclosure frame: 1.5 mm (16 ga) Type 304 stainless steel
Doors, sidewalls, roof: 2.0 mm (0.1″) aluminum, AlMg3
Base/plinth: 2.0 – 4.0 mm (0.1 – 0.2″) aluminum, AlMg3 Color: RAL 7035 (light gray)

Protection ratings:
IP 55 to EN 60 529/10.91, NEMA Type 3R

Configuration:

  • Double-walled outdoor enclosure pre-configured with doors front and rear and sidewalls left and right.
  • Doors and sidewalls provide double-wall 25 mm (1.0″) insulation air gap. Doors are right-side hinged with handle and security lock to DIN 18 254.
  • Roof overhang on all sides is secured with screw fastening or eyebolts.
  • Roof security is maintained with front and rear door gap overlap.
  • Sidewalls are bottom and top vented.
  • Internal sidewall is screw-fastened to the enclosure from the outside, with external sidewall tab located into place.
  • Base/plinth provides removable front and rear screw access for enclosure mounting.

Heat exchanger or air conditioner options:
Utilize universal door mounting. Either unit is attached to the mounting frame in the door. These can be optionally interior, middle or externally mounted into door surfaces.

Note: Enclosure dimensions meet IEC EN 61 969 requirements.

Accessory options
Fully symmetrical TS8 stainless steel frame structure. Provides more options for universal interior accessory mounting, due to the dual mounting levels around the perimeter. All external panels provide double-wall solar protection. This chimney effect design reduces the influences of sunlight on the enclosure. Accessory options allow for mounting of bayed enclosure suites with doors mounted all around.
